Incumbent wins sole contested race in Castle Pines

In the lone contested race for Castle Pines City Council, incumbent Deborah Metzger Mulvey successfully defended her District 1 seat against Albert Hoffman, picking up 60.4% of the vote to her opponent’s 39.6%.

Mulvey, an attorney, has said she wants to continue working to ensure that Interstate 25 improvements benefit Castle Pines and that current growth enhances the community.

In District 2, Kevin Rants ran unopposed, as did Tracy Engerman in District 3.

Engerman has been a resident of Castle Pines since 2009. On council, she focuses on projects that support strong community and promote smart development, according to her profile on the city website.
